Who We Are

At Cafection, we specialize in the manufacturing of coffee solutions for businesses. We design and build the most technologically advanced coffee brewers for an array of industries and locations, providing millions of people with their favorite hot beverages every day.

Throughout the years, Cafection has become a true leader in the industry, with over 80,000 units in Canada and the United States. Although greatly improved since our debuts, the success and popularity of our coffee machines still lie on our brewing system and its unequaled freshness in every cup: the reverse French press.

More than 25 years and three product lines later, Cafection still strives to remain on top of the industry trends and be a front-runner in the market.

Our History

Cafection thrives on innovation, creation and the need for perfecting the world of coffee, since the very beginning.

Mrs. and Mr. Yves Baron, Cafection’s founders, make their debut in the office coffee service (OCS) and vending industry, wishing to develop higher quality products.
1979
After more than 15 years in the industry, Yves Baron decides to sell his holdings in the coffee sector to devote himself full time, with his son François, to manufacturing his own bean to cup coffee machines. This is the birth of Cafection, as we know it today.
1996
Cafection introduces the Total 1, the world’s first machine equipped with a touch screen.
2011
The world first internet-connected and remotely manageable coffee machines are launched. Presented at the same time is their maestro, Sophia, the IoT platform and smart asset management tool.
2012
The company receives the award for “Company of the year” by the Quebec Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
2013
Another industry premiere for Cafection: the largest brew group of the industry is brought to the market.
The same year, the company wins the “2014 Customer Service Award” from the Canadian Automatic Merchandising Association (CAMA) and the “Exporting SEM” category from the Prix PME Banque Nationale.
2014
For the second year in a row, Cafection is awarded at the Prix PME Banque Nationale, this time for the “SEM 20 to 50 million.”
2015
Cafection joins the prestigious Evoca Group, the first plan multinational enterprise we are still a member of today.
2017
During the Covid-19 pandemic, Cafection innovates again with its true touchless solution that allows customers to order their drink without touching anything other than their smartphone, letting everyone safely enjoy their cup of coffee.

Sustainability

Go Green.

Cafection is dedicated to sustainability and prides itself on taking part in making the world a better place, starting with our everyday usage of hot beverages.

Using only biodegradable supplies and compostable filter paper, Cafection’s full line of coffee brewers helps some of the largest companies in the world reach their sustainability objectives by effectively reducing the enormous amounts of waste currently produced by coffee consumption.

Moreover, many of our initiatives allow us to reduce our ecological footprint on the planet:

Refurbishing Programs

Thanks to their durable components, Cafection’s coffee machines are designed to have a long life, but also to be refurbished rather than replaced.
